Retro Kid is the alias of British-born, Copenhagen-based producer Jake Juba and a group of friends who we have featured before a few months ago when they only had 8 Soundcloud followers.

Anyway, their latest — ‘Time Waster’, which were premiering today — is a genre-bending cut of electronica that sees Juba and co combining disperate elements like folk and pop with galloping percussion, rotund basslines and acid top lines for a slice of forward-thinking yet organic-sounding electronica. Throw in some enticing vocals courtesy of Emily Bolton and you’ve got a genuinely interesting take on electro pop that deserves to be on your radar.
