Watch Daft Punk perform at the Grammys alongside The Weeknd

Daft Punk has just performed alongside The Weeknd at the Grammys for their first “live” performance since 2014.

Wearing their new ‘Starboy’ outfits, the duo walked on stage like they were Darth Vader before being joined onstage by The Weekend to perform ‘I Feel It Coming’ in full.

Calling it a live performance would be doing actual musicians a disservice, as just like their last live performance – which just so happened to be on the Grammys in 2014 – the whole thing was a little, dare I say it, robotic.

The stage design didn’t do the performance any favours either, looking like a plastic version of Superman’s Fortress of solitude, minus the memory crystals.

So there you go: Daft Punk performed, and it was ok, and no they didn’t announce Alive 2017.
