I’ll admit it, I’ve only just got that all the supposed ‘bands’ in Soulwax’s soundtrack for forthcoming film ‘Belgica’ don’t actually exists – they’re fake. Make believe. Fictitious.

They’re simply an incredibly clever vehicle for Soulwax’s many personalities to shine through on the group’s new album/soundtrack/ruse. They’re so convincing, in fact, I actually thought The Shitz were some cool up-and-coming Belgian band that Soulwax had produced.

How wrong I was.

For the second track to be previewed from the album, Soulwax have created an female-fronted electro band for a thumpin’ slice of gluey electro, dubbed ‘Ti Recordi De Me’, which features vocals rapped in Italian no less. It’s almost certainly the best thing we’ve heard this year.
