The rumours are true: LCD Soundsystem are reforming, and they’re set to headline next year’s Coachella music festival, according to the New York Times.
The rumours of a reunion began to gather pace last week when the band released a surprised Christmas song, their first in five years.
The dance-rock group fronted by James Murphy famously played a legendary final farewell show at Madison Square Garden in 2011 before pursuing their own individual projects.
LCD Soundsystem’s representatives have yet to comment on the news but considering the source it’s highly likely that the rumours are true.
The group is set to perform at the Californian music festival alongside Guns ‘n’ Roses, who are also reuniting after Axel Rose and Slash put aside their 20-year feud.
Now all we need now is Daft Punk to play and you’ll have the greatest festival line-up in living memory.
