French producer ALVY is an unknown to us, but his track ‘Pastel’ might well be the first coherent combination of sugary disco and ear-bleeding bass-house we’ve heard.

It’s quite something actually, sometimes nostalgic and at other times it’s throughly modern sounding – for instance the vocals are so pitched at times it’s borderline PC, but apart from that there’s loads of lovely touches going on that give it that premium feel.

Anyway, it’s well worth your time and effort, and ALVY is now officially one to watch in 2016.
