The video for Coma’s melancholic single ‘Lora’ tells the poignant story of a cucumber (it’s definitely a cucumber) who is looking for love.
Actually on closer inspection it might actually be a gherkin… Anyway, the duo’s video tells the story of a sad and lonely gherkin/cucumber living out his workaday existence looking for the love of another lonely gerkin/cucumber.
Kinda puts everything into perspective, doesn’t it?
On a lighter note there’s a rather excellent remix of ‘Lora’ from Pional Trip, who does away with the PC music veneer and builds ‘Lora’ into a percussive slice of melancholic electronica, much like the original to be honest.
Coma’s new album, ‘This Side Of Paradise’ is out now via Kompakt Records. It’s really good, and who knows you might find out what happens to the gerkin (you probably won’t).
