A swarm of angry mechanical hornets appears…

My room is filled with buzzing hornets, and I’m strangely OK with it. Either that or my speakers have malfunctioned and I’m totally misconstruing this new Fake Blood EP.

Nope, hang on a second – here comes manic, carnivalesque gibberish, twinkling interludes and fat reverby bass – this is definitely Fake Blood, and it’s clearly the sound of a maturing artist. Supremely accomplished, technically excellent, and hellishly catchy; the playfulness of early releases is still here, but tempered with real restraint and musical development.

Out now on Food Music.
