Former dubstep poster-boy Skream has revealed his new musical direction with the release of his new single, ‘Still Lemonade‘, which is coming out on Crosstown Rebels on February 23.
‘Still Lemonade‘ at its core is a expertly crafted piece of melodic techno that sees the producer dial down the drops for something more considered and brooding.
While it might be add odds with Skream’s previous work and his personality – there’s actually plenty to like about the track, especially the drawn-out, trippy breakdown.
“Still Lemonade was the first track I finished in a long time that felt completely happy with and ready to play out. I didn’t tell anyone it was by me when I first started playing it and the reaction was explosive. It gets one of the biggest reaction in my sets and is a perfect example of the direction I’m taking with my productions,” explains the producer.
Stream’s new album will apparently follow later in the year on Crosstown Rebels too.
