Stream Daze’s ‘S.O.L.A.R’

Daze is the production moniker of Frenchman, well, er, we don’t actually know. Anyway in his press release there were words like ‘vintage synths’, ‘vocoders’ and ‘talk boxes’ – so naturally we had to investigate this further.

Despite not revealing his identity the Frenchman cites influences such Cameo, Zapp & Roger to D-Train, Skyy, Midnight Star and George Clinton. His latest EP ‘S.O.L.A.R’ has been made without any samples and takes in everything from gleaming electronic funk to Chromeo-esque disco-pop gems.

Basically it’s amazing, and you should probably buy it now.

Check out a couple of choice cuts from the EP below.

Out now via Police Records/ Brigade Mondaine

1 – S.O.L.A.R (Sound Of Love Around Radios)
2 – Something on your mind
