Electro duo The Elriks are the latest act to get a release on forward-thinking Parisian imprint La Belle. The duos new ‘I Am Who I Am’ EP is a unique blend of robotic electro and 80′s cinematic soundscapes that manages to sound both warm and uninviting.

The lead track sounds a bit like Gesaffelstein soundtracking 80′s cult sci-fi show Battlestar, with the saw bassline sounding strikingly similar Mylo’s remix of ‘No More Conversations’. There’s also a vocal courtesy of APZee, who gives the track a suitably otherworldly and futurist quality. The b-side ‘Like A Robot’, on the other hand, sees the duo rein in the futuristic flamboyancy for something a little more predictable and deeper.

And as a special treat you can download the a-side ‘I am Who I Am’ for free, while stocks last.
