The Egg ‘Catch’ (The C90s Remix)

The C90′s have been a bit quiet of late, but this isn’t us complaining, just stating a fact – their remix hiatus ends today with their remix of The Egg’s ‘Catch’ Yes. The very people who did ‘Walking Away‘.

Not one to fall into the look-at-me-hands-in-the-air-tropical-disco trap their remix centres around rhythm at the beginning. The duo construct a complex percussion line, and then arrange the hushed melodies behind it – only adding the odd dash of melody when you hit the break. They then caress your ears with a lovely doughy piano line and some cosmic pads – it’s a clever touch, and makes for a great remix.
