Smile Recordings are on quite a role at the moment, in a few short months they’ve released an EP for Mickey, Montevideo and now they’re about to release a debut EP from Brazilian/UK duo Jus’ Bro.

Despite the lacklustre name the EP is sounding very good. The duo is made up of Brazilian DJ Paulo Jardim and UK producer Martin Dawson, who is the man behind King Roc. A few months back Paulo came to Martin with some ideas he had been having for some songs he wanted to write and the two friends put their creative heads together and quickly came up with what is now the first Jus’ Bros single ‘The Truth’ featuring vocal sample from the legendary Brazil soul singer Tim Maia.

The EP’s only original is firmly in the realm of disco, which is quite a departure for King Roc who rose to fame over 6 years ago with a slew of well-recieved house and techno records.

The remixes pull the disco original into house and techno guises to create a impressive range of sonic identities.

LGS has premiered the Xinobi remix.

Release date : 5 March 2012
