If we were to tell you that someone was experimenting with mixing French house and dubstep you’d think we’d gone insane, and most of all you’d think well that’s not going to work, it would surely sound like Daft Punk having a threesome with Chase & Status?
But we have to admit Les Loups have gone and nailed that sound with their latest remix of Frankmusik’s ‘Do It In The Am’ – it starts of fairly normally, lovely bongo beats, a plump french touch bass and a pretty inoffensive vocal.
Then when Bangalter finally makes contact with Chase’s ass the Funkstep rears it head. It shouldn’t work really, but it really does. Judge for yourself. And as the vocal says ‘We only do it in the AM’ well that makes it alright then.

And they’ve also got another remix for indie pop singer Alex Winston’s ‘Sister Wife’ which is a track from her upcoming debut album on Island Records – it’s not funkstep, but a lovely piece of disco pop.
