Young French producer Gael Giudicelli aka NEUS might just have uploaded the defining remix of his young career so far. His last remix hit the dizzy heights of the Hype Machine popular chart and his new remix is almost certain to do the same – he’s remixed The Toxic Avenger’s ‘Angst One’.
This is without doubt one of the best tracks we’ve heard in 2011 – the intro is a stunning piece of sampling from a film (answers on a postcard) – couple that with a spiritual synth-based reprise, then by the time you got to 3 minutes in it goes thrash rave, eventually culminating another titanic drop – into more stirring french synths. We think this is a defining remix for NEUS.
It’s got a Justeece/Danger vibe going on – but this is to be expected as he sounds like a very angry young Frenchman – just the way we like them.
Lookout for this guy in 2011 as he is just getting better and better. And from the looks of the artwork – he’s doing some sort of remixes album – we’ll try and get some info for you.
And he also did a remix for the Kavinsky competition too – it’s very good.
