Pacha London has been a permanent fixture of London clubbing scene for years and now they are celebrating their 8th Birthday in style with a champagne reception on January 9th.
As part of their celebration they have brought together many of the names that have made Pacha what it is today.
So expect to see Andy Baxter and Sarah Main pumping out their own variation of trip-hop, disco and hypnotic tech house.
Joining the residents will be the original resident Seb Fontaine who will bring you back to the original sound of Pacha.
Sarah Main the queen of smooth house, rocking electro and jackin’ beats has taken some time out of here busy schedule to answer some of our question.
You are strongly associated with Pacha – what does that meant to you?
I feel like part of a family…that what Pacha is all about….a big welcoming global family of like minded people that want to live life to the fullest…I feel very lucky to be a part of that.
And what does the Pacha brand stand for do you think?
Freedom, love, acceptance, and above all FUN.
Why has it been so successful do you think?
Because of the attitude that it exudes…it more than just a clubbing brand, it is a lifestyle and a place where everyone is welcome and can feel special…..
How do Pacha crowds differ to other crowds?
They are there because they love music and love having a good time with like minded people….but they also understand what Pacha stands for and they want to be a part of that feeling and that community.
Which has been your best gig at Pacha and why?
Every gig is a good one…..
What is the Pacha sound would you say?
Whatever the people want it to be…it is always quality and is about making people happy.
How do you choose music for gigs at Pacha? Do you pick what you know will go down well or do you try and introduce new sounds?
A bit of both really, it depends which Pacha I am playing in…I always cater for the crowds because they are the ones that make the club, the vibe the atmosphere…if they are not having fun then I am not either!
How do you stay enthused after 9 years as resident?
Because I love Pacha and I love Music…..I do what I love and I love what I do.
What can people expect from you at the 8th Birthday bash?
Absolute mayhem….lets rock on and show the world how we do it Pacha style!
