Enola aka Matthieu Monnin is a new French techno artist with dance music at his feet, he has just released a breathtaking solo artist album entitled ‘Alone’ on Initial Cuts.

Enola’s debut sees the interweaving of short sharp techno beats with melodic house vibes. It captures the dark and cold edge of techno via clinical techno rhythms, but it also delivers the emotive characters of house via the complex melodic synths.

“It’s all coming from my heart really, the melody is what drives all the tracks. I’m trying to tell a story with my emotions, I hope some people will follow them too,” says Enola.

Whilst deep grooves and emotive melodies can be found everywhere, the quality showcased in the album is exhilarating and has a diversity that keeps the listener overwhelmed.

Having just released the wonderful EP ‘Word in a bottle’ which features  crisp techy beats and melodic layers which generate a driving yet deep and psychedelic groove.

The interweaving of melodies and psychedelic flavours are reminiscent of Sasha’s progressive house, but the album sounds fresh and upfront with sprinklings of techno giving it a forward thinking edge.

Many may consider him as an emerging talent, but ‘Alone’ has showcased his top-class craftsmanship as an electronic music producer. It’s likely that Enola will be a sought after musician in global dance music for many years to come.
