Manchester’s electronic 4-piece Delphic have announced that their debut album will be released on January 11th and it’s called Alocyte.

Also, the band will be have just been confirmed to play two tracks on Later… With Jools Holland next week. The first track will be shown on Later Live… on Tuesday 10th November, and then both tracks will be shown on the full Later… show on Friday 13th November. Make sure you tune in, or check it out on the BBC iPlayer afterwards.

After releasing singles on R&S and more recently Kitsune, the band will deliver a 10-song set that sees them embrace their love for songwriting as well their dance music heritage.
It’s not rave,” says multi-instrumentalist Richard Boardman  ”There may be references to 90s dance music but we also love Bjork, Radiohead, Kraftwerk and, at the other end of the spectrum, Xenomania.”

“A lot of dance albums you search out the singles but the rest is all a bit samey and boring,” adds Matt Cocksedge. “We wrote the album as a whole and weren’t afraid to lower the tempos and concentrate on the songs.”

It’s due out on January 11th.
