Hospital Records’ rising star Mistabushi has come under fire in a forum bitch-up after it was claimed that Mitsabushi was found to be faking it and playing premixed CD’s.
This has caused uproar on drum and bass forums with a nasty backlash from the community aimed directly at Mistabushi – who has been accused of this before.
He played set in Finland recently and at the end threw the CD into the crowd, a raver picked it up and played it when he got home, only to find that it was pre-recorded mix.
This latest incident was at Basement’s night at Bar Mango in Reading as part of their event with Hospital Records last week, Mistabushi has apologised for the incident by way of a post on the forum on the drum and bass arena website.
Mistabushi, said: “should prolly read the vitriol before i post but i’m in an internet cafe and don’t have a right lot of time and no internets in the studio.
“I’m just a raver that somehow got the chance to make tunes for people whose music I really loved from places like Rollers Warehouse / Sanctuary miltonkeyenes, Labyrinth Hackney, Hardware /End and Warning / Junction (broke a knuckle on my right hand in that fucking place!) and Hospitality nights. Sorry if the dj’ing side of things snarled things up for people but all I really wanted to do was rave to be honest, and more recently, go to raves where my tunes were getting played. That was the best thing about the whole experience recently anyway for me. hearing my tunes out loud with my mates.
He added: “I take very few bookings, and the only ones I want to take until i’m as happy about *the sound* of a vinyl dj set as i am about the *the sound* of my tunes, are ones with my multitrack and synth, or the occasional one where the promoter simply wants me regardless.
