Starlifters are a french filtered house group from croatia formed by Daniel Chelan and Zvonimir Garashich. They both having been producing music for the last 5 years, they came together and formed Starlifters in 2009 and released their EP ‘Starlifters’ – they are currently working on their next EP and album.We managed to track them down and ask them a few questions.

Switch: Zvonimir Garashich.
Beat Gates: Daniel Chelan.
When/how did you meet?
Switch: About 3 years ago on MySpace i think lol
Beat Gates: Yeah, friends and MySpace hook us up somehow.
When did start making music you were happy with?
Switch: About three months ago.
Beat Gates: Me too, french house set us ”free”in some way..
Who are you favourite producers/performers at the moment?
Switch: At the moment Calvin Harris.
Beat Gates: I like Calvin too, but im stuck with Le Knight Club and Phats & Small.
Who does your art work?
Switch: Mostly my friends..
Beat Gates: Im graphic designer, so i make my own designs.
What instruments does you use when performing?
Switch: I use FL Studio, Ableton..
Beat Gates: Also FL Studio and Wave Editor..
Where does your name come from?
Switch: My name means using samples and switching them to something different and new..
Beat Gates: My name has no meaning, i just like it because its funny..
What do you have in store for the coming months?
Switch: New Starlifters album, my solo projects and DJ mixes..
Beat Gates: Starlifters is my main project, but i also have some solo projects and tracks.
