After an epic performance on the main stage at Global Gathering – Eric Prydz is back with his alter ego Cirez D.
Eric Prydz has many different aliases including Pryda and Cirez D, he is a label owner originally from Täby, Stockholm and he is currently living in London, England.
He began making music at age 9 and he runs his own label Pryda Records, Pryda Friends, and Mouseville Records.
In 2004 DJ Falcon and Thomas Bangalter had the idea for ‘Call On Me’, a track based on a sample of ‘Valerie’ performed by Steve Winwood.
But for unknown reasons, Roulé didn’t clear the sample to release the track commercially.
But Prydz, helped with his label Ministry Of Sound managed to persuade them the release the sample.
Even Steve Winwood liked the track and re-recorded a part of his vocals to be part of the project. As a result ‘Call On Me’ became a worldwide hit, but without any mention of Bangalter in the credits or in the concept.
Ever since, Eric Prydz has become one of the worlds hottest talents with a seemingly endless supply of great tunes, he has become one of dance music’s untouchables – both in musical direction and production.
We have his latest EP ‘On Off Fast Forward’ which is certain to be massive this summer.
